Brian Patrick Byrne grew up in Connecticut, developing a love of theatre and stagecraft throughout his high school career. He pursued this interest further, earning a BFA in Theatre Design from Tisch School Of the Arts at New York University. Slowly Brian worked his way from New York City back to the world of Connecticut suburbia and secondary education, finding his niche as a Technical Theatre Teacher and Theatrical Technical Director at an independent high school in his home town.
In the summer of 2007, Brian embarked upon the next major phase of his life as he had his first child (a son named Aidan) and moved to California to be nearer to his wife's family. Since then, Brian and his wife Lisa have also welcomed a second child (a daughter named Ceili) into their growing family. Now in his fifth year at Milken, Brian is thrilled to have found a home as welcoming as MCHS!
Brian teaches all of the Technical Theatre classes for both the Upper School & Middle School and manages all of the technical aspects of Milken's performing arts productions & events. He is a Middle School advisor and the facilitator for the MS Digital Yearbook Center of Excellence. He is eager to work with students to foster a love of theatrical production and build teamwork as they work behind the scenes to support each show on the Milken stage.
